Egy mű keletkezésének és zeneszerzÅ‘jének történetét talán minden esetben megtaláljuk egy koncertajánlóban. A Pannon Filharmonikusok január végi budapesti és pécsi koncertjeinek története hű önmagához. A vörös hegedű cÃmű hangversenyen elhangzó Corigliano hegedűverseny egy Stradivari hegedű hányattatott sorsát bemutató film zenéjébÅ‘l ihletve Ãródott, amely Oscar-dÃjat nyert. A pandémia miatt már egyszer elhalasztott és a zenekar létszámát csökkentendÅ‘ többszörös műsorváltozáson átesett produkció végül méltóképpen találta meg végsÅ‘ formáját. A vörös hegedűt Elina Vähälä szólaltatja meg, elhangzik egy Leonard Bernstein mű, majd Dohnányi ErnÅ‘ sziporkázóan hangszerelt, a filmzenék hangvételét idézÅ‘, boldog fináléval végzÅ‘dÅ‘ fisz-moll szvitjét hallhatjuk.

Az amerikai kortárs zeneszerzÅ‘, John Corigliano az elhangzó hegedűversenyét ugyanis saját, 2000-ben Oscar-dÃjat nyert filmzenéjétÅ‘l ihletve komponálta. A vörös hegedű (The Red Violin) cÃmű kanadai-olasz-angol alkotás és zenéje több tekintetben is új jelenséget mutat a film- és zenetörténetben. JellemzÅ‘en egy film fÅ‘szereplÅ‘je egy zeneszerzÅ‘ vagy elÅ‘adóművész, ez esetben azonban a középpontban egy hangszer, egy Stradivari hegedű áll. A mű ennek a hangszernek a több száz évnyi életét, tulajdonosait és a megszerzése körüli harcokat mutatja be. A zenetörténeti újdonság pedig az, hogy a szokással ellentétben, miszerint egy filmzenében megszólalnak klasszikus zenei részletek, itt fordÃtva történt, a filmzene inspirált tehát egy versenyművet. Nem csoda, hogy a többek között Samuel L. Jackson szereplésével jegyzett alkotást a legjobb filmzene kategóriában Golden-Globe dÃjra, valamint Grammy-dÃjra, illetve a legjobb idegennyelvű film dÃjára is jelölték.
A zeneszerző apja, idősebb John Corigliano a New-Yorki Filharmonikusok koncertmestere volt. A filmben Corigliano részben saját fiatalkori élményeiből táplálkozott, hiszen megfogalmazása szerint az első szerelme neki is a hegedű volt. Ennek kapcsán a filmzenében több virtuóz hegedűetűd is feltűnik. A film nagy sikerére való tekintettel, még a bemutató évében elkészült a Chaconne, egy egytételes mű, melyet Joshua Bell sikerre vitt, és a darab elkezdett közismert koncertdarabbá válni. E tétel további társtételeket kapott, és ezzel jött létre a teljes hegedűverseny.
Elina Vähälä amerikai születésű, de Finnországban felnÅ‘tt hegedűművésznÅ‘ egy Giovanni Battista Guadagnini által készÃtett (1780) hegedűn játszik. Skandináviában Å‘ vitte elÅ‘ször sikerre Corigliano hegedűversenyét, és továbbra is Å‘ a mű egyik leggyakrabban meghÃvott elÅ‘adója. A nemzetközi nagyzenekarok ünnepelt szólistájának nevéhez számos Å‘sbemutató is fűzÅ‘dik, például Aulis Jaakko vagy Kalevi Aho hegedűversenyéé, melyek hegedűszólóit kifejezetten neki Ãrták a szerzÅ‘k, csakúgy, ahogy Jan Sandström is neki szánta Concertojának szólóját. A művésznÅ‘ a Bécsi Zeneakadémia professzoraként, illetve a Finn Kulturális Alap támogatásával létrejött Hegedűakadémia mesterkurzus-alapú projektjén keresztül tehetséggondozással is foglalkozik.
A koncert felütéseként a zenekar által már többször is játszott, műfaji megjelölése szerint operett, a Candide népszerű nyitányát hallhatjuk. Leonard Bernstein művét ugyan a 18. századi francia filozófus, Voltaire regénye ihlette, zenéje egyértelműen amerikai és 20. századi. Hiszen Bernstein a 20. századi amerikai zene emblematikus alakja, akit karmesterként, zeneszerzÅ‘ként és a komolyzene népszerűsÃtÅ‘jeként is ismer a világ. A Candide fÅ‘hÅ‘se Leibniz elvét vallja, hogy a világ minden lehetséges világ közül a legjobb. Hitvallása tehát az optimizmus. Bernstein maga is optimista és humoros ember volt, és ez az optimizmus hatja át a zenemű nyitányát is.
Furcsa módon, a filmbéli hegedű hosszú és kalandos története mintha rávetült volna a koncert műsorára. Ezt a hangversenyt már tavaly is műsorára tűzte a zenekar, de akkor a járvány miatt elmaradt. A záró művet is le kellett cserélni a járványhelyzet okozta kényszerű létszámcsökkentés miatt, Dohnányi ErnÅ‘ különleges mondanivalójú II. szimfóniája zárta volna a koncertet, tehát egy igazán különleges zenei szÃnfoltot tervezett a pécsi zenekar. Végül a hangverseny végén felcsendülÅ‘ mű Dohnányi fisz-moll – más néven romantikus vagy nagy zenekari – szvitje lesz. ElÅ‘adói apparátusának nagysága, tételrendje akár szimfóniává is tehetné, sÅ‘t, bizonyos szempontból az is. Ugyanakkor az elsÅ‘ tétel intonálása inkább a szerenádok hangulatát idézi. Az andante feliratú variációs tétel egy sziporkázóan hangszerelt, lendületes, organikusan épÃtkezÅ‘, folyamatosan elÅ‘re haladó kompozÃció. A tétel hangzásvilága leginkább szimfonikus költemények vagy filmzenék hangvételére emlékeztet. Ahogy megszokhattuk, Dohnányi minden esetben igényes és sziporkázó, Ãgy ha nehézségek árán is, de szép élményt adhat a zenekar közönségének. Egy mesterien hangszerelt, szeszélyes és meseszerű, folyamatosan elÅ‘re haladó kompozÃcióval, melynek hangzásvilága a filmzenék hangvételére emlékeztet, fergeteges és boldog fináléval.
A Pannon Filharmonikusok lendületes vezetÅ‘ karmesterének, Bogányi Tibornak dirigálásával elhangzó koncert a zenekar szándékai szerint a vÃrushelyzet mindennapos gondjaiból kiemeli a hallgatót, és lehetÅ‘séget ad arra, hogy a viszontagságok helyett teret adjunk a zenei szépségnek, ha csak egy este erejéig is.
